The Grinberg method is a bodywork approach that allows you to work with injuries, chronic symptoms, old traumas, limiting beliefs and destructive behaviours.

  • The Grinberg Method is a bodywork approach that helps you deal with life’s challenges. This can be anything from chronic pain, emotional heartbreak, old traumas, anxiety, ADHD, limiting beliefs, low self image and low self confidence … and more.

    The somatic method teaches you to direct your attention to your body in a way that allows you to track, observe and release tension patterns caused by trauma and stress.

    Developed in the late 1980’s by Avi Grinberg, the somatic approach has been refined over the last 30 years with hundreds of practitioners training in Austria, England, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States.

  • The bodywork is for anyone who wants to develop a better relationship and deeper connection with their body.

    The reality is people come to this work when they are in pain, suffering or have an issue. They have usually tried other therapies that haven’t worked and are open to trying something new.

    However, once people have had a few sessions and get a taste of how effective and impactful the bodywork is, they usually come back to access more freedom and connection in their bodies; which translates to more freedom and connection in their relationships and external world.

  • Traditional therapy typically helps people change unhelpful thinking and behaviour patterns by talking through and analysing their thoughts, emotions and actions. It’s a ‘top-down’ approach which focuses on the mind first.

    In somatic therapy, like the Grinberg Method, we still discuss what's going on for you cognitively, however it’s a holistic ‘bottom up’ approach.

    In the sessions, we look at what actually happens in your body when you talk about the issue and we work with the tensions patterns‍ that are actively playing out and keeping the issue alive. ‍

    Is your body stuck, tight or numb? Are you in pain? Is fear debilitating you? Are you holding your breath? Where do you feel the anxiety? Is your heart closed? Does your back hurt?

    We look at the physical and emotional patterns that cause pain, fear and suffering and through breath, touch and movement we work with you to firstly illuminate the patterns and then to un-do them.

  • For new clients, it’s essential we have a 20 min call prior to you booking an Intake Session.

    On this complimentary call, you can share what is going on for you and ask questions. If we both feel like it’s a good fit, I will send you a private link to book a 90 min Intake Session (€135) .

    In the Intake Session we have extra time to talk about the issues you are working on and then we will work with it through the body using breath, movement and touch.

    Sessions are held with partial clothing or undergarments. If you are more comfortable fully clothed, this is no problem.
